Accounts [series AC; 64 boxes & 11 vols]

This series comprises a wide range of miscellaneous accounts which are mostly unbound. Important runs of accounts include annual trial balance sheets [1830-68]; monthly cash balances [1828-64]; monthly balances of cash and bills receivable [1890-1905]; Liverpool annual balance sheets [1833-1905]; Liverpool monthly cash balances [1833-1905]; Thomas Ward's [Boston agent] accounts [1837-60]; staff income tax assessments [1844-92]; and the daily balance of Barings' Bank of England account [1825-63]. Other papers relate to customer bad debts and security transactions. There are also some private account books of partners.
