Directors' Private Papers
Directors carried on certain private business alongside their Barings' work. This included directorships of other companies and connections with charities. Sometimes these private files were left with Barings, together with other documents such as private accounts and papers relating to the administration of their estates. These include the private letter books of the 2nd Lord Revelstoke [31 vols, 1885-1929] and of Gaspard Farrer [24 vols, 1882-1939] and files relating to Lord Revelstoke's membership of the Young Committee on German Reparations, 1929.
